About
Entertainment Media Council is the first and only association for entrepreneurs, C-level executives, and senior managers in the video game industry. The association was formed by business leaders to support the needs and interests of the growing management community by promoting new venture creation, investment in the entertainment software and technology industries, and management education.
Our Rationale
Sales of video games, hardware, and accessories in the United States are continuing to trend upward, reaching up to $20 billion every year. Between 2008 and 2010, nearly 200 new U.S. developers raised over a billion dollars in startup capital. More than 20,000 related companies with over 65,000 employees are operating in North America alone.
With explosive worldwide growth comes rapid change. Many firms are simply outpaced by economic realities. Start-ups exit as quickly as they enter, innovations displace traditions, and leaders search for new directions while struggling to survive increasingly volatile markets and work environments. And these are only a few of the challenges have faced us.
Since 2008, entrepreneurs and business leaders with over 200 years of combined experience in management has worked toward the realization of Entertainment Media Council, a new association that supports entrepreneurs, C-level executives, and senior managers as they pursue corporate and professional success in these turbulent times.
