About
Sales of video games, hardware, and accessories in the United States are continuing to trend upward, reaching $20 billion last year. Nearly 200 new U.S. developers raised over a billion dollars in the last two years. More than 20,000 companies with over 65,000 employees are operating in North America alone.
With explosive worldwide growth comes rapid change. Many firms are simply outpaced by economic realities. Start-ups exit as quickly as they enter, innovations displace traditions, and leaders search for new directions while struggling to survive increasingly volatile markets—these are only some of the challenges that have faced us.
Over the past two years, a group of executives with over 200 years of combined leadership experience have come together to found Entertainment Media Council, a new association that supports entrepreneurs, C-level executives, and senior managers as they pursue corporate and professional success in these turbulent times.
Mission
Entertainment Media Council was established with the following mission:
“To advance the interactive entertainment business in the United States by addressing the emerging and future challenges facing entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.”
Legal Structure
Entertainment Media Council was incorporated in September 2008 as a Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation in the State of California.
Headquarters
Entertainment Media Council is headquartered in San Diego, California.
