Entertainment Media Council understands that the privacy of its users is important. Entertainment Media Council reserves the right to disclose this information under special circumstances, such as in connection with judicial proceedings or if, at the sole discretion of Entertainment Media Council, disclosure is necessary to protect Entertainment Media Council or the President and Board of Directors.

You may subscribe to the free e-mail newsletter by providing your e-mail address in the subscribe box on the Newsletter page. We do not include any functionality on our site that would allow third parties to perform “reverse searches” to identify individuals from e-mail addresses. User Survey

The user has the option of providing Entertainment Media Council with additional personal information by completing a survey. The survey asks users to provide information such as industry, job title, favorite topics, etc. We encourage our users to fill in all of this information, so that the site is able to offer more content that reflects particular areas of interest to users.

Use of Information

Entertainment Media Council uses the information provided in the survey to continue to improve our product and services. To this end, Entertainment Media Council does evaluate site usage by analyzing user information and demographics, but only in aggregate, and does not use any method of analysis that would allow individual identification.

Cookies

A cookie is a tool used by Entertainment Media Council to deliver customizable and personalized services and information. The cookie consists of a small data file that is written to a user’s hard drive that contains information, such as User ID, that allows us to track which pages a user has already visited. Entertainment Media Council may also use cookies to anonymously track session information, such as pages visited or duration of visit, which will help us continue to improve our format and content.
